In amongst a week of bad news, or at least news that’s supposed to be bad for Leeds United, we did also see a boost with on loan Chelsea man Izzy Brown continuing his comeback from his long term injury.

The 22-year-old did have a hiccup in his comeback to fitness as he suffered a complication after turning out for Carlos Corberan’s Under 23 side, but he has again got game time under his belt and in manager Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference on Thursday ahead of the Championship clash with Stoke City this weekend, he revealed that Brown was now ‘fit and ready to be involved.’

Having lost Samu Saiz and Lewis Baker as options, this is obviously good news for Leeds when it comes to cover and given his time out, it’ll be fantastic news for Brown himself as he looks to get his career back on track.

The gaffer did rightly say that he would take time to come back to his best and be 100% sharp and that would take about six games in total, but he’ll get a massive lift from finally being able to potentially make his debut and I would imagine he’ll continue to feature for the U23s as well.

The only downside, once he takes to the pitch we will reportedly then start paying his wages but if he has the impact many feel he will based on his talents, he should be worth every penny.
