Bielsa target ‘open’ to Elland Road move, loads of Leeds fans react: ‘Get this done asap’

|

Many Leeds supporters have been reacting on social media to reports suggesting Marcel Bielsa target Ryan Kent would be ‘open’ to a summer switch to Elland Road.

The Liverpool-owned winger is thought to be one of the three wide players the boss has his eyes on at present, as he looks to add the strength on the flanks that cost us heavily in the promotion race during his inaugural season.

We will likely face competition from Rangers if we do approach the Champions League winners over a temporary deal, however, as the Gers and manager Steven Gerrard are keen to retain the 22-year-old’s services for another season.

Although, it is Leeds Live’s understanding that Kent would be ‘open’ to a move to West Yorkshire over a return to Ibrox, as Director of Football Victor Orta has reached out to the Oldham-born prospect’s camp on multiple occasions over the past few years.

The Sun’s transfer reporter Alan Nixon has likewise backed Kent to move to Elland Road over a return to Scotland, having shared that he feels the former England U20 international will stay in England this summer, but noted that a decision does not have to be made yet.

What’s causing the delay in Kent’s need to make a final decision is that the Liverpool product is still in the dark over his future when it comes to how the Premier League runners-up see it.

The Daily Record believe the Reds would prefer to send the 5 ft 7 winger out on loan again, but would be willing to listen to offers over a permanent transfer should one be received.

Leeds Live somewhat support this suggestion, but only to the extent that Jurgen Klopp’s Merseyside outfit are keeping their academy graduate in the dark over how they see his future panning out over of the next few weeks.

When these claims were shared on Twitter, here’s how these Leeds fans reacted…
