Many Leeds supporters have been reacting on social media to reports suggesting Marcel Bielsa target Ryan Kent would be ‘open’ to a summer switch to Elland Road.
The Liverpool-owned winger is thought to be one of the three wide players the boss has his eyes on at present, as he looks to add the strength on the flanks that cost us heavily in the promotion race during his inaugural season.
We will likely face competition from Rangers if we do approach the Champions League winners over a temporary deal, however, as the Gers and manager Steven Gerrard are keen to retain the 22-year-old’s services for another season.
Although, it is Leeds Live’s understanding that Kent would be ‘open’ to a move to West Yorkshire over a return to Ibrox, as Director of Football Victor Orta has reached out to the Oldham-born prospect’s camp on multiple occasions over the past few years.
The Sun’s transfer reporter Alan Nixon has likewise backed Kent to move to Elland Road over a return to Scotland, having shared that he feels the former England U20 international will stay in England this summer, but noted that a decision does not have to be made yet.
What’s causing the delay in Kent’s need to make a final decision is that the Liverpool product is still in the dark over his future when it comes to how the Premier League runners-up see it.
The Daily Record believe the Reds would prefer to send the 5 ft 7 winger out on loan again, but would be willing to listen to offers over a permanent transfer should one be received.
Leeds Live somewhat support this suggestion, but only to the extent that Jurgen Klopp’s Merseyside outfit are keeping their academy graduate in the dark over how they see his future panning out over of the next few weeks.
When these claims were shared on Twitter, here’s how these Leeds fans reacted…
Do we just pull these players out of a hat or what

How do we know a Leeds option would appeal to him? I know it probably does and would but most reports suggest he doesn’t want to keep changing club…

One has to ask, which is better for the lad. Scottish football or Bielsaball. I mean, come on.

Is this just a complete assumption or something that’s actually been said? Cos I saw earlier that Rangers were close to agreeing another deal with him

If teamtalk say it’s happening – safe to say he will go to Rangers.

Whilst I agree he’s the sort we should be after worth remembering he did absolutely nothing at Bristol City the season before last.

We ain’t getting him and you can bet the Costa thing to drag on for weeks then fall through but it’s ok jack Harrison coming back.

Absolutely won’t happen. I won’t believe any good news at Leeds until I see it signed and sealed!
