Bielsa successor tip is one many of us can get behind

|

Speaking to Football Insider in an exclusive interview, pundit Noel Whelan has spoken about the potential successor to Marcelo Bielsa and suggests it could be someone close to home.

Whilst we all want to see the class Argentine stay put past this season, there are genuine concerns that he could be with us for one year and one year only.

We’d need a replacement, then, and it seems as though Carlos Corberan is the one that Whelan thinks could take over.

He’s done a wonderful job with the U23 side and, actually, I think this could be a perfect addition given that he knows the club, knows the players and the kids and knows how to keep Bielsa’s style going.

At the end of the day, if Marcelo trusts him he is going to have a bit about him and must be a like-minded thinker.

In the long run, he seems the perfect heir to the throne.
