According to the Daily Star, Leeds are among the clubs to be chasing Liam Lindsay at Barnsley in the summer window.
Both Celtic and Aston Villa are apparently keen on the Tykes’ defender and it seems as though the Whites are interested in him as well.
And, if we pulled it off, it would suggest that Marcelo Bielsa is ready to tweak his transfer policy over new centre-halves.
Many of us felt we needed to bring in another defender at the start of the season but Marcelo stuck with what he had and has often used the kids when needed.
That has worked out fairly well, of course, but it is also a risk and it would be better to get another senior player in before the new season starts for that position.
Lindsay has plenty of class and ability to be that person, too, so let’s see if we make it happen in the coming weeks.
