According to TV Qui, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is not a big fan of the idea of Jerry Mbakogu arriving at the club this summer.

The report has touched on the fact that apparently a fee has been agreed for the player and that the Whites have until the end of the month to confirm the transfer.

Now, though, Bielsa is ready to call it off as he eyes other potential players to become his new leading man up top.

Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez are among those to have been linked and you can certainly see them being better options than Jerry.

The Verdict

I’m more than on the same page with Bielsa here.

It’s another risk we don’t need to take transfer-wise signing the striker from Carpi and it’d be a good idea to swerve bringing him in.

We can attract proven players this summer, let’s actually do that.
