“Made of glass”, “Get shut” – These Leeds fans react to Bielsa’s pre-QPR update

A few Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that Barry Douglas will not face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Bielsa will guide the Whites into Loftus Road looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday, after losing the top spot in the division to West Bromwich Albion through two late goals.

Douglas had started the Owls affair at Elland Road for his 13th appearance of the season in all competitions, though was forced off after 56 minutes and replaced by Ezgjan Alioski.

The boss has now declared that Douglas will not be fit to face QPR in this weekend’s early kick-off, as the £3.15million-rated full-back has sustained an issue with his side that will keep him out of action for the time being.

Bielsa will have Stuart Dallas on hand in West London, though, despite the 28-year-old appearing to struggle with a knock in the closing stages of last weekend’s loss to Sheffield Wednesday.

“Douglas has an injury in this area,” Bielsa told reporters while pointing to his side during his pre-match press conference. “We’re not going to be able to count on him. Dallas is ok

Will Douglas be missed at Loftus Road?

Yes

No

“No. [Adam] Forshaw and Tyler Roberts, we don’t know when they are returning.”

QPR will host the Whites 15th in the Championship standings and on a run of one win in their last six league games, coming in a 6-1 demolition of Cardiff City on New Year’s Day.
