Marcelo Bielsa has delivered his latest press conference today with him saying that he is happy with his squad.

The transfer window comes to an end today in terms of permanent deals after a hectic few months as ever.

Mainly, though, we’ve seen exits from the club instead of incomings and that is thanks to Bielsa who wanted to shed a lot of deadwood.

Evidently now, then, he is happy with the size of his squad, despite it perhaps looking a bit short, and as quoted by Phil Hay he thinks that the mental attitude of the players will be enhanced:

22 players doesn’t seem like many when even the Premier League sides usually use more during a campaign.

Bielsa isn’t one for doing things the way others do, though, and so it’ll be interesting to see what comes from going into the rest of the season with one of the smaller squads around.
