Marcelo Bielsa has suggested that Pontus Jansson is nearing his full potential as a player at the moment after working his way back into the team.

The Swede seems to be one of many players happy to be working under our legendary manager and it seems clear that he is going to be key for us once again.

Last season, of course, he struggled but the early signs this time around are that he is going to have a better season.

With that in mind, then, Bielsa has suggested that he is close to playing at his maximum right now in what could be very exciting news for us.

Via the Yorkshire Evening Post, he said:

“He was one of the two best players in the last two games.

“He didn’t do the work we did in pre-season and so far he has played three games.

“And in these three games he played at a level close to his potential.”

Certainly, I have been impressed with Pontus as he has quickly settled into the side and done well.

He was injured and unfit at the start of the campaign but he is looking good now and that is obviously a bonus for us.
