With Kemar Roofe only having 12 months left on his Leeds United deal, his stock at Elland Road has never been higher given his goalscoring return across the Championship campaign of 2018/19.
The 26-year-old made 28 starting appearances, and a further six showings from the bench, returning 15 goals in the second tier and providing two assists, but his form was interrupted by his time on the sidelines as injuries hit every part of the pitch last season.
In the second half of the year he didn’t quite hit the same heights in front of the net, but that hasn’t stopped plenty of fans calling for a new deal for him.
A report this last week claimed that when talks on a new deal finally opened, Roofe would be asking for a four year deal with a £30,000 weekly wage.
That certainly didn’t go down well with a section of the fanbase and their message was clear. There’s better out there for better value. I’m not so sure myself and whilst £30,000 sounds steep, the money in the game has moved on.
There’s no guarantee the report is true, but even if it, it’s a negotiation.
Sell him and buy maupay

I'm agreeing if this is true

So he’s basically saying good bye then ????

He won't get £30k unless Bielsa say he's his numero uno striker! I also think that Roofe isn't good enough if we go up, £30k a week for 3-4 years is very expensive! I'm not that sure that I would give it to him! Who would buy Roofe and what is he worth?

Could get somebody consistent for that a week

@roofe unfortunately, you've not done enough this season to warrant 30k a week. Maybe get us to the premier league then you can get that money.

Roofe is not worth 30k per week.
