The new Leeds away kit has been revealed today, and its design and colours has received mixed feelings upon the fanbase.

The traditional away colours of yellow and blue have received a new spin on them, and a section of the fans have bemoaned the kit design from giant sportswear manufacturers Adidas. The yellow resembles a pale version of the usual iconic yellow and the blue is more of a dark, ink splatter type of blue. The official statement on the Leeds website and official Twitter says ‘Introducing the 22/23 Away Shirt Notorious colours. Enigmatic design.’

The club have released these details, saying ‘This eagerly awaited strip for the new season is a contemporary design that sees our classic club colours of yellow and blue reimagined in a bespoke tie dye print. The explosion of pulse yellow blended with a dark blue for the shirt is a modern take on some of our iconic yellow kits from the 70s and the colour coordinated club crest sits proudly on the chest.’

‘The collar of the shirt is a classic V-neck with a ribbed trim, with matching ribbed sleeve cuffs as you work your way down the arm. Once again, the shirt will feature our front of shirt sponsor SBOTOP, along with our recently announced sleeve partner for 2022/23, Wish.’

‘The shorts and socks are the same dark blue colourway as the shirt and they are a regular fit made from 100% recycled polyester, with an interlock mesh ventilation.’

‘Jesse Marsch’s side will wear the away kit for our very first away game of the new season against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday 13th August. The new strip will be available to purchase online only from Thursday 4th August, with limited stock available for this first drop. Season Ticket Holders and Members will be able to purchase items from 8am with the kit going on general sale from 9am.’
