With a few high profile errors to his name in his first half a campaign at Elland Road, goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has certainly featured quite prominently on the summer transfer rumour mill.
With Bailey Peacock-Farrell also causing a few stirs this summer, plenty thought that Casilla would be off back to Spain before the window slammed shut. However, a number of fans read into his response to a fan joking that we had tied him to the goalposts for pre-season training to stop him from rushing out of the box and assumed it meant his future wasn’t as in doubt as some of the speculation would’ve had us believe.
Former Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay still has his finger on the pulse and responding to a fan asking about the future of the 32-year-old, there’s now an expectation that he’ll remain with us, so we can put goalkeeper talk to bed.
appears that he’ll be staying. I was expecting Leeds to look for offers for him because of his wage but he’s been very much involved (and I gather that he wants to stay)

Given his involvement across pre-season so far, I doubt anyone will be surprised with Hay’s comments, but they agree is open for debate.
