In other Leeds United news, a talkSPORT pundit has demanded more from a £7.2million-rated Whites star.
So many Leeds United fans have been voicing the same issue with the club’s ticketing policy, after it was announced what criteria will be needed for the FA Cup Third Round trip to Arsenal in January.
We are scheduled to face the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on Monday, January 6 in a televised clash set for a 19:56 kick-off, and have been allocated approximately 8,000 tickets for supporters wishing to attend.
Tickets will be prioritised for members of the club’s Away Season Ticket scheme, with the remaining allocation then falling to supporters with the most away matches attended during the 2018/19 season.
The first round of tickets hitting the market on Wednesday, December 11 will be for fans with 10 or more matches in their Away Attendance Tracker, before 2019/20 home season ticket holders will be given a 72-hour window to claim tickets on a first-come, first-served basis as of Friday 13.
If any tickets remain unsold by the end of the week, Gold Members will be able to purchase a ticket from Monday, December 16, in the final window currently scheduled by the club.
Does the club's policy need changing?
Yes, absolutely
No, it rewards loyalty
The continued use of away credits earned through the 2018/19 season has proven to be a cause of anger among parts of the Elland Road faithful, who have been reacting to the club’s ticketing update by calling for a change in how away tickets are sold.
Others have simply voiced hope in being able to claim a ticket through one of the later stages of the club’s scheduled sale period, knowing that they face a challenge to purchase one due to the number of fixtures they have previously attended.
Here are some of the messages shared…
pray some get through to gold members 🙏🏻

28th game of the season, in 2020 and still using the 18/19 tracker. Any danger of it changing to this season?

How are you supposed to get priority for away games when I’ve never been able to buy a single away game ticket? I live too far away to justify season ticket so have to make do with gold membership each year but never get an away ticket 😡seems highly unfair!

Any chance Gold Members who don’t have a stack of away games already under our belts will get a sniff? Getting to the point I can’t justify dropping £40+ a year joining when I never seem to be able to buy a ticket. What about a lottery rather than a loyalty scheme?

Always this ‘away ticket tracker’. How the hell can a fan like me who bothers to travel 175 miles there,175 miles back actually get on this ladder? I can’t get an away ticket on this policy and it doesn’t seem as though fans like me will ever get an away ticket with this policy.

It’s a joke mate, how are you supposed to get on the ladder?
— Craig Bagnall (@camchesie) December 9, 2019
So as a season ticket holder for 30 years travelling to away games when I can get a ticket loyalty is only shown to what has become a closed shop!! It will be 50 years since attending my first game yet others will no doubt get tickets who don’t attend any home games.

So in a nutshell i haven’t got a chance of a ticket… just waiting to see all those with loyalty selling their tickets at inflated prices 😡
