Some Leeds supporters have been reacting on social media after the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that Vitesse Arnhem and Heart of Midlothian are fighting it out to take Jay-Roy Grot on loan for the season.

United are expected to once again sanction a temporary move for the 21-year-old, after he spent the recent campaign back in the Eredivisie with VVV-Venlo, with whom he scored six goals in 33 league games, and laid on three assists.

There is a chance the Dutchman will remain in West Yorkshire when the new campaign rolls around, but his immediate future with the Whites hinges entirely on Marcelo Bielsa, as the club have not yet deemed the 2017 arrival surplus to requirements.

Grot struggled massively to adapt to the English game during his first year with Leeds, and could only make one league start for the club, in a campaign that saw fans jeer his involvement during a 1-0 win over Norwich City.

If Bielsa decides the Netherlands U20 international’s campaign back in his native country was not enough to warrant a role in his plans next term, it is thought Vitesse are the side currently leading the race for the attacker’s services.

Hearts are also keen on striking a deal for the centre-forward, though, as they have recently parted ways with David Vanececk and have so far been unable to agree new terms with Steven Naismith, who will otherwise leave the club as a free agent having been released from parent side Norwich.

When word that Grot may be on the move again reached Twitter, this is how these Leeds fans reacted…
