Another Injury For Leeds Sees Youngster Recalled From Loan Spell

|

It’s been reported this morning that Leeds United have recalled young goalkeeper Will Huffer from his loan spell out with non-league side Barnet following an injury to Under 23 keeper Kamil Miazek.

The 20-year-old headed out on loan towards the end of the January transfer window and having made his debut for the first team back in late November’s clash with Bristol City (kept a clean sheet), he made three appearances for Barnet, helping them to three points, and keeping another clean sheet in his last appearance against Sutton United. I believe he also took in a further two games in their FA Cup campaign.

I’m not seeing anything from the club directly, but the Yorkshire Evening Post suggest that although his month-long stay may have been extended, we have effectively recalled him to provide cover after Miazek injured his finger during the warm-up to last Monday’s Under 23 clash with Bolton Wanderers.

He was replaced by Bailey Peacock-Farrell in that game, but Carlos Corberan’s lads are in action on Friday once again, ahead of the Bolton game for the first team, and we rightly don’t want BPF stretched like that.

I’m not entirely sure on the loan rules for youngsters to non-league level, so I don’t know if Huffer could potentially head out again for game time when Miazek is once again fit.
