Another example of Leeds getting ruthless transfer policy right

|

Leeds take on Sheffield United this weekend in a huge game at the top of the Sky Bet Championship.

The Whites and the Blades have both been excellent this season and there is a clear suggestion that this will help decide who goes up.

Certainly, we come into it in decent form after brushing aside Reading and one player that featured for them was Lewis Baker.

Baker has been okay for Reading, to be fair, but he wasn’t good enough for us and his failure to really make a massive difference for the Royals shows we were right to let him go in January.

For too long, the Whites were getting these calls wrong and in Victor Orta’s first year there seemed a real catalogue of errors.

Now, though, incomings and exits are getting nailed and if we make a mistake we are quick to rectify it.

Good luck to Baker, then, but the ruthless nature of his departure is another good sign for us.
