It hasn’t been a great week on the pitch for Leeds United as our automatic promotion hopes largely went up in smoke with back to back defeats to Brentford and Wigan Athletic, but there’s still the Play-Offs to play for and we go into this weekend’s clash with Aston Villa looking to make a point.
Getting back to winning ways so we can dust off the disappointment is hugely key for the squad and it’s not as if we’ve played badly either, it was just our inability to put the ball in the net that bit us once again.
It has been a good and optimistic season and that shouldn’t be forgotten, but with Kemar Roofe hoping to play himself back into his better form, manager Marcelo Bielsa confirmed on Friday that the player had been sidelined for this match with a hip problem.
💬 | Marcelo on team news for Sunday's game: "Apart from Roofe and Alioski, the other players are available. He [Roofe] has a problem with his hip and he can't reach his maximum speed. I think he'll be available soon"

Certainly not the news anyone wanted ahead of this one given what we know Roofe is capable of, but we’ll get the chances against Villa, we have to ensure we take them.
It is crazy to think it was only 7 days ago ☹️
