There was an outcry from supporters who felt Pablo Hernandez had been overlooked when the EFL named their Championship Team of the Season. Those fans, however, have been vindicated by players for England’s second-tier, after our Spaniard was named in the PFA Team of the Year.
Fellow Elland Road regulars Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper joined Hernandez, with the Whites boasting the joint-most players in the squad, level with Norwich and ahead of Sheffield United.
The Canaries saw Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis praised by their fellow pros, with Championship top goalscorer Teemu Pukki joined in attack by Aston Villa’s Tammy Abraham.
As for the Blades, they saw two men put forward for the squad in Oliver Norwood and Billy Sharp – the latter of the pair scoring five fewer than Pukki, who helped to decide the outcome of 21 games through his goals and assists.
As for our trio, Hernandez has helped massively to our efforts to secure promotion with 12 goals and 12 assists, while 11 of our clean sheets have come with Jansson in the starting XI, and 13 with Cooper.
Some fans, though, have taken note that the work of Hernandez, Jansson, Cooper, and the rest of the squad, still looks likely to fall short of clinching automatic promotion, even if they were worthy of individual praise…

All this talk of Leeds players not been there is a joke. I’m happy for the lads that got in but the fact pukki is missing and shef Utd don’t have a single defender with all there clean sheets shows a lot

How many of them all will be playing Premiership football next year? 1 or 2, the rest will still be playing in the Championship, good efforts from them though!!!
