After manager’s definitive reveal, Leeds must now sanction player deal

|

As per the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bradford City manager Gary Bowyer has revealed that he would like to take Paudie O’Connor on loan again next season.

The young defender joined the Bantams earlier this year and would surely have liked results on a team-basis to have gone better.

Indeed, it’s turned out badly for them with a League Two berth waiting next season but O’Connor at least seems to have done enough to convince Bowyer to want to keep him.

And, with this in mind, it would make sense for Leeds to sanction the deal and let him play there again next season.

Yes, we are short of defenders at the moment but it would be better for us to sign experienced, proven players at this level or above in the summer, and let O’Connor continue his development.

Whether or not we let that happen remains to be see, but it would make a lot of sense.
