Harrogate Town are trying to bring Leeds United youngster Max Dean on loan to the League two club as reported by Adam Pope on Twitter.

The Sulphurites are interested in the switch for the 18 year old centre forward, although no official contact has yet been made.

The Leeds United youngster made 17 appearances for the U23’s last season and notched up 5 goals. He has also made 3 appearances in the EFL Cup scoring once.  He can play as a forward but can also play on both the left and right wings.  It would make sense to send him out on loan to get some valuable first team minutes, and the League 2 side are hoping a deal can be reached.

Max Dean only has a year left on his contract at Leeds, and if the loan move away is a successful one then there is no reason why there wouldn’t be a new contract on the table for him, if there already isn’t one being drawn up.  He is fantastic player, quick energetic and has a great attitude and work ethic.  He will be hoping to emulate his U23 team mates Joe Gelhardt, Crysencio Summerville, Sam Greenwood and Charlie Cresswell in being promoted into the first team set up on a regular basis.

He is probably a little way off Jesse Marsch’ first team just yet, but if he applies himself to a loan move the way he has in the Leeds youth set up, then it is surely just a matter of time before he is called upon.  He really does look like one for the future, and hopefully one day, a first team regular.
