Well the season got off to a fine start with Leeds beating Championship promotion favourites Stoke City 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
At the start of the match we were perhaps wondering what exactly was going to happen with just one signing featuring in Barry Douglas and the rest players from last season.
Indeed, perhaps the concern was that after last year there’d be little improvement but boy, were we wrong.
Marcelo Bielsa hasn’t been at the club long but we’re already starting to look like a side that he has coached for a while.
Transitions were quick and the pressing was lethal – much thanks to Kemar Roofe leading the charge up front.
A rejuvenated player working hard for the side, he did a fine job as Bielsa’s frontman and, clearly, it didn’t go unnoticed with our fans on social media.
Let’s take a look at what was said on Twitter in response to Roofe’s fine showing…
Not sure what happened last season but Roofe has been brilliant today, movement and work rate ???????? #lufc
