Luke Ayling is back in light training and I am certainly pleased to be able to say that.
The Whites have sorely missed the right-back for much of this season and his reliability at the back is something that we’ve needed a lot whilst he’s been away.
We’re getting closer to his return now, though, and it’s brilliant to see him back on the grass at Thorp Arch:

It’s been a pretty doom and gloom season this year, of course, and Ayling’s injury has been a part of that.
He’s making progress, though, and it’s caused some of our fans a bit of happiness so let’s look at the reaction…
And there's talk of him being under threat for next season. What joke.Great player.Welcome back.#lufc

The Verdict
Ayling has been missed but I don’t think there’s much point in rushing him back now and aggravating things.
The full-back embodies all the attributes we’ve needed this season and hopefully his return will mark a better campaign in 2018/19.
Thoughts, Whites? Let me know!
