With most eyes on manager Marcelo Bielsa’s first team at Leeds United in the Championship campaign of 2018/19, assistant gaffer Carlos Corberan has had a good year at Under 23 level and on Monday afternoon the squad were named PDL National Champions after we took a penalty victory over Birmingham City.
With all eyes to the upcoming first team Play-Off Semi-Final battles that lie ahead against Derby County as we spy a place in the Wembley Final, the victory given those involved (the likes of Gaetano Berardi, Jack Clarke etc) will take a significant confidence shot from this.
With a 4-2 win secured to lift the trophy, owner Andrea Radrizzani was quick to take to social media to praise Corberan and his charges for their success.
Congratulations @LUFC a great season and fantastic end. Well done lads and 👏👏👏👏@CarlosCorberan #pride#futureisbright pic.twitter.com/ACBlIvxW1U

We’ll all be hoping that in a few weeks Rads has a reason to post up an extremely similar message as we look to keep our Premier League dreams alive.
