A Good Night Ends With This Leeds Man Getting Off The Mark Against Preston

|

With an unbeaten run in the Championship to protect, Leeds United put Millwall nonsense behind them yesterday evening as we hosted Preston North End at Elland Road.

With the expected lineup taking to the pitch for the game, Leeds started brightly largely dominating the affair and skipper Liam Cooper sent us into the halftime break with a 1-0 advantage as he found the back of the net in the 37th minute.

Tyler Roberts opened his club account following his arrival from West Bromwich Albion at the end of last January in what was his fifth appearance in the shirt, to double our advantage with 16 minutes remaining in normal time.

Roberts then went one better inside of the last ten and bagged himself a brace to make it 3-0 and ensure we took our fifth win over the 2018/19 league campaign under Marcelo Bielsa.

All in, a pretty decent and rewarding night for the fans in attendance and our gap at the top of the table extends to three points over Brentford who occupy second place.
