One of his best performances ever?
Patrick Bamford was awarded the man of the match award last night for his efforts during Leeds’ 1-0 win over West Brom.
I have said before that when it comes to a guy like Bamford we need to look beyond his goal return to see his true value in the side, and let last night be the perfect example of that. Whilst he did not get on the scoresheet, you cannot doubt that he put in a shift.
Take his run down the right flank in the first half for instance, that won’t go down as a goal or an assist, but it just goes to show the sort of things that he can bring to the team if you give him the chance.
So when famed Leeds United fanzine The Square Ball asked the question last night whether it was his best performance in a Leeds United shirt, there were a lot of fans who were more than willing to jump in and give their view.
Glad he didn’t get subbed like normal, deserved a full 90 minutes and worked his Edwardian stockings off

Closest to a 10/10 performance a striker will ever get without getting a goal or assist ????

A brilliant side before self performance. He deserves all the praise, won everything, helped to manage the game. Very happy for him.

Dare I say he had a bit of the Alan Smith’s about him tonight. A constant thorn in their side, didn’t let their CB’s rest, put his body on the line, took the hits and hold up play was fantastic. His touch was immense at times and he played with responsibility & pride. Excellent!

He’s certainly come a long way from the summer when there were a number of fans who wanted him gone.
