It`s a big weekend for us at Elland Road as we aim to get our playoff hopes back on track.

With Bristol City taking up the last place in the top six at this moment in time, we`ve got as good a chance of getting back into the mix if we beat them – as victory will see us move within 5pts of them. The Robins don`t arrive in good form and are very much there for the taking.

I have identified the three things we need to do if we are going to get a much-needed win.

Start brightly

It seems obvious but we need to get going quickly in this one.

Lee Johnson`s charges raced into a 3-0 lead against Sunderland last weekend and we can`t allow them to get on top early on in this game.

It`s Paul Heckingbottom`s first game in charge at home and hopefully the atmosphere will be there to greet him and the players as they walk onto the pitch.

This is a big 3pts to be had and we need to seize the initiative.

Win the battle out wide

We`ve got some good players on the flanks but so do the Robins and so this will be a key battle.

Ryan Kent looks a tricky player that will need to be dealt with whilst our right-back area still needs to be solved fully.

We`ve got the players to do them harm as well from the wings, though, and so if we can get running at them early and pin them back hopefully we`ll get some joy.

Give Lasogga better service

PML has not had the best season; however, in recent weeks I feel as though he has been working hard without really getting the luck his efforts have deserved.

It`s not helped that the service to him hasn`t been brilliant in the last few games, too, and so we need to make sure that is better for this match.

Lasogga can cause them real problems, we know that, so let`s give him the kind of delivery the big man craves.
