In Saturday’s early kick-off in the Championship, a poorer Leeds United showing still saw us take a point from Brentford.

It was far from a performance that matched the levels we have shown so far this season, but a more dogged and gutsy display at Elland Road saw us come from behind with Pontus Jansson scoring a late equaliser in the game to split the points.

With him connecting with an Ezgjan Alioski delivery with only a couple of minutes remaining in the game, whilst deserved, it wasn’t a great surprise to see WhoScored give him their star rating for is efforts at both ends of the pitch on the day.

Polling a score of 8.56 immediately post game, Alioski’s assist saw him pick up 8.13 and defender Liam Cooper was in third place with 7.04. The top five on the day were completed by Kalvin Phillips and goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell even though he conceded the penalty on the day that gave them the second half advantage.

Another point on the tally and another game closer to seeing options return in the striker position.
