Pontus Jansson has been at it again and by that, I mean mouthing off about a potential move away from the club.

The 27-year-old Swede was on his way to becoming an icon for us this time last year but 2017/18 has seen his reputation take a bit of a knock.

And, instead of rolling his sleeves up and helping us out, he’s repeatedly thrown his future into question with untimely comments.

Here, then, is what he has had to say most recently as quoted by Aftonbladet:

“I want to see the club’s ambitions.

“I want to play in the Premier League but I don’t want to take those questions before the World Cup. I’ve said that to Martin (Dahlin). Everything can change during the World Cup.

“There is interest. All I know is that I’m going to stay in England. It will take a lot for me to leave England.”

The Verdict

He seems to be suggesting his future will be decided after the World Cup but it is clear that there is interest in him.

Personally, too, I think we should let him go if we get a good enough price for him.

He was not the player we needed last season and instead has decided to make comments like this on the regular.

I don’t think he’d be that missed.
