Marcus Antonsson’s stay at Leeds United might be about to come to an end and it could be thanks to a rather familiar factor.

The striker spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers as they got themselves promoted from League One back into the Championship.

However, he didn’t really prove a pivotal figure in their run with Bradley Dack and Danny Graham far more important than him.

He’s not really wanted by us either, that’s for sure, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport – via Sport Witness – the striker could move to Brescia who are of course owned by Massimo Cellino.

The Verdict

There’s something rather just about Cellino giving us money for a player who clearly isn’t good enough for us and never will be.

He did okay at best at Blackburn and that was in the division below so it might be best that he moves on instead of sticking around here.
