Since the departure of Felix Wiedwald, Leeds United have been linked with numerous goalkeepers, as Bielsa attempts to assemble his squad ahead of the forthcoming Championship season. The latest goalie to be linked with a potential move to Elland Road is Chelsea’s, Jamal Blackman. Would the 24-year-old be a good addition?

As Bristol Live reports, the Chelsea goalkeeper has held discussions with Leeds ahead of a proposed move to Elland Road. The English goalkeeper spent the duration of last season on loan in the Championship with Sheffield United, and he could prove to be a useful option for Leeds.

It’s likely that this story will progress in the foreseeable future, as Chelsea’s unofficial partner club, Vitesse Arnhem are allegedly interested in Blackman’s services. The 24-year-old is an accomplished goalkeeper, and despite his relative inexperience – he has only amassed 98 senior appearances to date – he demonstrated his ability to perform admirably in the Championship last season.

He has yet to register a single appearance for Chelsea, but he has continued his progression and attained vital experience elsewhere. To date, he has represented Middlesbrough, Östersunds FK, Wycombe Wanderers and Sheffield United.

One of his primary strengths is his concentration, and due to his height, he has an impressive reach, He is a towering presence which enables him to control his penalty area. While he is undoubtedly a talented player, his discipline requires improvement.

Any possible doubts about his ability to perform regularly in the Championship were negated last season, and while he may not be available on a permanent transfer, he could prove to be a decent signing on loan for the Whites.

What are your thoughts? Would he be a good signing? Let us know by voting in the poll!
