This one came out of the blue late yesterday evening, apparently Samu Saiz is unhappy at Leeds United because his girlfriend is unhappy in England and he’s decided he wants to return to Spain for a quiet life – La Liga side Getafe are already supposed to be trying to negotiate a deal for the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old Spaniard has featured pretty regularly for manager Marcelo Bielsa in the campaign of 2018/19 and he has 21 appearances to his name in total, with a return of one goal and four assists and the vast majority of his appearances have been from the starting whistle, although more recently he’s spent time as a substitute.
A major development at Leeds and somewhat out the blue – Getafe looking to do a deal for Samuel Saiz. Saiz unhappy in England and wants to go back to Spain. Could be set for a parting of ways:https://t.co/VwOBsH5U28

The former Huesca player has largely established himself as a fan favourite at Elland Road and having arrived back in the summer of 2017, he recently broke the 50 appearance marker for the club and although reactions to the development were mixed, plenty aren’t happy.
Sounds like to me he doesn’t want to fight for his place, the way he has played he isn’t worth a start, if we. An get £10M then send him packing

Easy decision, take £10m+, Hernandez move into the no. 10 role, use money to bring in new RW (possibly Lens or Ibai Gomez) No drama #LUFC

Good when we were average, we have now got better be he hasn’t improved. No massive loss IMO if we get a decent fee and re invest. Izzy Brown can take over for the remainder of the season or play Pablo / Roofe there with Clarke or Bamford

Let’s make a scape goat out of saiz as radz obviously has no money and needs to cash in on our best player, amazing how 11 sports is under pressure in UK and now we selling saiz #lufc

I stated a while ago that I thought he lacked some of the qualities needed to succeed in the Championship and this suggests his hearts not in it either. See ya later ????????

Ffs! That’ll be a big blow, what price are we talking Phil?
— Billy Gardiner (@BillyGardiner7) December 13, 2018
That is a shame . On his day our best player

Not surprised has looked out of sorts and if we really have to be honest has never been the player we always wanted to aspire to

On the one hand the timing makes perfect sense here, but with no rumblings previously some will think the timing is strange.
