Leeds United centre-half has often been an easy go-to for some sections of the fanbase as it’s more than fair to say he’s been prone to an error or two in matches during his time at Elland Road.
It’s already been pointed out that so far in the season of 2018/19, the 27-year-old Scot has in many ways been born again with the level of quality performances that he’s put in at the heart of the defence and that didn’t change on Tuesday evening as we hosted Preston North End.
Not only is he doing an admirable job at the back, as Preston showed, he’s also contributing at the other end of the pitch and he opened the scoring on the evening and saw his effort built on by youngster Tyler Roberts who opened his own club account with a brace.
Well Cooper is worth 200million

Some of that movement and play was something else.
???? Philips immense again
???? Saiz on a different planet
???? Remember we saw Harrison play in a Leeds shirt, big things to come from him
???? PJ back to his best
???? Cooper was fantastic today best I’ve seen #lufc— Barney ™ (@BarneyStuart21) September 18, 2018
Everyone is stepping it up this season. Cooper and Phillips have been great (and consistent). Pontus has been immense, all new signings are doing well. And Klich is a polish prince #LUFC #MOT

Roberts, Saiz, Harrison, Jansson and Cooper were bloody brilliant, but a word again for Phillips. What a player he's become, absolutely incredible. #LUFC

Saiz and Harrison the stand-outs tonight, both immense.
Cooper and Pontus at the back too – ????????#LUFC— Joe (@joem167) September 18, 2018
Great all round display from #lufc. Stand out performers Jansen, Cooper, Phillips, Saiz, Klich, Harrison and Roberts. BPF did nothing wrong (great save when 0-0) and Ayling and Douglas improved as game wore on. The other player has had better games!

Liam Cooper, like a kid rising above the bullies #lufc

That was absolutely beautiful to watch. Roberts, Harrison, Saiz, Phillips, Cooper and Jansson were just on another level. I should probably name the whole team as players of the match. Bielsaball is real. Fortress Elland Road is real. Its stunning. #lufc #mot

I am so happy for Liam Cooper, different player this season! #LUFC

Very impressive tonight, if we follow this up with another win on Saturday, been a positive week. Klich and Phillips outstanding in centre mid, controlled the game. Saiz and Harrison supplying Roberts. Pontus and Cooper solid at the back. Happy days! #lufc

Having scored his second goal of the year, Cooper certainly came in for high praise on social media as the above comments show.
