18-year-old could be about to find himself away from Elland Road once again – Report

|

So it seems as if some of Leeds’ business in the January transfer window might already be set in motion.

Funnily enough, it would just be a repeat of this summer, as reports are speculating that Jack Clarke could find himself moving to Tottenham Hotspur yet again. Clarke officially signed for Spurs this summer but was immediately loaned back to Leeds in an attempt to get some first-team football. However The Sun are reporting that there is recall clause in the agreement and, with Clarke yet to make a single appearance, he could find himself heading down the M1 for the second time if things don’t improve.

Tottenham have confirmed their squad for this upcoming season, and it is interesting to note that they list Clarke down as one of their U21 players, so it looks like plans are already afoot just in case things don’t quite work out for him at Elland Road.

The lack of game time that Clarke has been receiving this season is something that has not gone unnoticed in the media, and judging by the reports, it hasn’t gone unnoticed by Mauricio Pochettino either.

I said a couple of weeks ago that I thought it would be beneficial for Leeds, not just for financial reasons like Eddie Nketiah, but also to keep up a good relationship with Spurs in case we ever need a favour from them in the future, to send Clarke back to North London. However, now we could have reached a stage where the decision is being made for us.

What do you think? Do you think Spurs will eventually take Clarke back from us? Or do you think that he’ll be given a run in the first team in the near future to put all these stories to bed?
